A couple of new things added this weekend...

A review of the new album All Roads Lead to This from G-Plan is now online. If instrumental rock is your thing, then check them out because this release is brand new and available via Play Records.

There is also a nice review from Thursday's Her Space Holiday concert at Rotown online.

It's not the highest profile festival of the season, but hey, Waterpop is free, has some decent bands, and if you live in Zuid-Holland, then there probably aren't any other gigs going on to get in the way.

This is all happening today, with events kicking off in a few hours, so here is the rather hopeful schedule...

13.00-13.40 - The Peptones
13.40-14.25 - Sioen
14.25-15.15 - Face Tomorrow
15.15-16.05 - Wealthy Beggar
16.05-16.45 - Bal des Boiteux
16.45-17.30 - zZz
17.30-18.20 - Gem
18.20-19.10 - Kitty Wu
19.10-19.55 - Textures
19.55-20.45 - Janez Detd
20.50-21.45 - Young Heart Attack
21.50-22.50 - Jerry Fish & The Mudbugclub

Last year they impressively got The Darkness to headline the festival before anyone in Holland cared they exist. This year they have the wilder Young Heart Attack on board, but overall there's a fair amount of interesting music across the board, so head down to Wateringen.

It's been an impatient wait, but the special edition release There is No Hidden Meaning, which marks the 50th album on the small Kabukikore label is finally available to purchase online.

Featuring bands like Maxton Grainger, Crayola, Desalvo, and Smakake, it's sure to be an interesting collection. The full tracklisting can be seen here. And with 28 songs for the price of 8 pounds / 12 euro, it's a very limited edition bargain too. Get it before it's too late.

In other news, the mighty Oceansize have a new EP out soon. Titled Music for Nurses, expect it to be as spiraling and pummelling as always. In promotion they will be touring the UK throughout October. Hopefully a more widespread tour of Europe is due to follow later.

Stayfun favourites Aereogramme return next month with their new mini-album. Having completed their sentence with the lovely Chemikal Underground people, the band have moved onto Undergroove Records for this release.

It's going to be a six track effort, with plenty of the usual post-rock orchestral bombast, as perfectly good acoustic songs get chewed up and mutilated for fun. Additionally, they have also recorded a version of The Flaming Lips' 'Lightning Strikes the Postman' from Clouds Taste Metallic, as well as producing some film pieces as bonus material.

Former labelmates The Delgados also return in September. Firstly the single 'Everybody Come Down' is released on September 6, and the album follows on September 20. Will they actually visit Holland this time around? Who knows?
