A recommendation for Eindhoven’s Airbus is long overdue because from the basic ingredients of piano, guitar, bass, drums, and vocals, they manage to create some pretty interesting indie-rock with strong dynamics and good melodies.
It’s been almost a year since the release of their Nyod demo in May 2003 but it’s never too late to download and enjoy. The best pick from this is ‘Stars and Stripes’, which is possibly the most accessible track thanks to some great hooks. It is never too straightforward but always rewarding, and of course the complete demo is also available for downloading.
