There’s something about the effect of violins in rock music right now. Maybe it is always there, but it feels particularly prominent at the moment, and traditional rock bands just seem to rise a notch on the scale of greatness with the help of a good violinist. I could theorize about the frequencies involved that help to perk up the human hearing, but I won’t. Instead, just know that whatever it is, Foam have it.
Think catchy songs, strong female lead vocals, interesting structures, and that pesky violin being used to fiddle with your brain. It’s good. Very good. So download ‘Do You Like Me’ from their demo release Again, and hear for yourself that Foam are too good a secret to be kept.
