Fredo Viola
Every so often I randomly download tracks from the audio archive at hippocamp.net. Primarily a source for free electronic albums, it's flooded with ambient sounds from around the world. However, the name Fredo Viola was the first to ever jump out at me from the page, and the music has been the most captivating in the long term.
It's bright electronica with speedy male narration on top. There's actually a temptation to compare it with The Postal Service, but that in turns feels cheap. This is less commercial and purer in a sense, so check out 'The Original Man', and if it fascinates you the entire 10 track EP is available free here.
