John Wayne Shot Me
Sometime around March, John Wayne Shot Me released their Let Sleeping Monsters Sleep EP, which was primarily made up of quirky cover songs. Very much fun it was too. The covers had a tendency to overshadow the title track, however, which as a taster for their upcoming album was quite a fun accomplishment in itself.
It’s a great little pop song, with jangly guitars, a fuzzy chorus, simple indie melodies, and the catchy keyboard sounds reminiscent of Grandaddy. If you haven’t heard the full EP or the band at all, start making up for it now.
