I've got no idea what Les Savy Fav means. It sounds a bit French in my opinion, but perhaps that’s because this song title is French also. For those who don't speak the language, it means "I love you".

So, Les Savy Fav are from New York and have been called one of the most important bands the US underground has thrown up in years. I don't know every single American underground band so perhaps they're lying, but this song is very good stuff. While the beginning is rather quiet, the rest of the song is an exciting and beautiful tragedy. Some say it's about a rich man giving up everything for some girl before then losing her. You can give your own meaning to the lyrics but you can't deny that this is a stunning piece of art. I have seldom heard a love song being this raw and intense at the same time. You should listen to it for a whole night.

The song is actually from their first full CD from 1997, although, I don't know if there are many of them left (I ordered a copy in a store, but that was a year ago now and I still haven't received a thing). Apparently they also put on some very good live shows, especially when lead singer Tim Harrington has a good day. Les Savy Fav : Je t'aime! What more can I say?
