Lund is a beautiful Swedish town, yet you wouldn't expect it to be the capital of Sweden’s music scene. That didn’t stop Logh forming there around 1998, though, and they eventually released their debut album in 2002 (Every Time A Bell Rings An Angel Gets His Wings), as well as releasing The Raging Sun in 2003.
Their sound is a very raw form of indie rock, full of crisp edges, lots of twists and turns, sudden bursts of distortion, but also lots of emotional content, just like their contemporaries Fireside and Last Days of April.
As the band will be playing live in the Netherlands this month (March 24 Vera, Groningen / March 25, Café Dwaze Zaken, Amsterdam / March 26 Nighttown, Rotterdam) I wanted to highlight the title track from The Raging Sun, which is available from the band’s website. It typifies their jagged style and should give a useful taster for their live shows.
