Tacoma Radar

Tacoma Radar have been around in Scotland for a few years now, yet so far they had only released a couple of EPs to show for all their time (Pilothouse and Tuckahoe). Until now that is, with the upcoming release this month of their official debut album, No One Waved Goodbye. Featuring the vocals of singer Jennifer Cosgrove, the band have always treaded in a similar ground to Mazzy Star, although, hopefully they are more cheery in person than Miss Sandoval.

For the release of the record, they’ve made available short samples of all the tracks instead of just one complete song. This requires a bit of cheating on my part, but I’d still like to recommend track one, ‘So Much Water’, of which there is a one minute sampler to get an idea of what this band are about. It’s very laid back, it’s pretty, and a fine way to spend a minute of your time. Of course, it also makes sense to check out the other tracks too, as it promises to be a lovely, relaxing record.
