You know, I really don't know what to say about these Americans.
Their debut album, Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes is just about to be released in Europe by 4AD, although it's been out in the US on Touch and Go for a few months already.
When I first listened to them I just couldn't get it, though. Sometimes I still can't, but every single song seems to throw up something new on each play. It's all different sounds and different styles, and after a couple of listens you end up completely hooked, but there is no obvious reason why. Comparisons don't leap out either. It's just TV on the Radio - weird but cool.
